Obaku’s Re-Sari straps are made from up-cycled dead-stock or previously loved Saris. We find, clean and re-use previously loved Saris or up-cycle dead-sari-stock from India to bring you colourful, one-of-a-kind sustainable watch straps. From every sari comes about 100 straps, and no two will ever be exactly the same. Every sari carries a story from the celebrations and every-day-life from it’s previous owner or the promise of a vibrant, colourful future from unused left-over material.For every strap sold an amount is donated directly to the artisans from ‘I was a Sari’ in Mumbai. These donations help the female artisans send their children to school.
